The Role of B Cells in IgG4-RD
B cells are a type of white blood cell that usually help protect your body from infections. In IgG4-RD, however, these cells become overactive and interact with other cells in your immune system.
The role of B cells in IgG4-RD is unclear, but researchers continue to look for answers. So far, what we do know is that these cells play an important part in developing IgG4-RD.
With IgG4-RD, instead of B cells helping to protect your body from illness, they make antibodies that can result in inflammation to various organs, and then the organs can stop working properly.

GETTING WORSE.
You may have a relapse in symptoms even if you have been in remission (a period when the disease is inactive).
